The Argentine Alliance for Climate Action (AACA), established in 2018, is made up of a group of institutions representing various sectors of civil society, including agriculture, the private sector, local governments, universities, and social organizations. Today, it includes five provinces committed to climate action: Santa Fe, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, Misiones, and Jujuy.
The ACAA seeks to recognize, catalyze and multiply the will of its members by mobilizing, integrating and scaling up local efforts and actions in order to actively contribute to the Paris Agreement (2015) goal of keeping the average temperature increase below 1.5°C and ensuring the adaptation of our societies, thus starting to close the current gap that separates ambition from implementation of global agreements. This new paradigm calls us to work together to shape a better future!
We endeavor to maximize existing efforts to fight against the climate crisis without overlapping efforts with other initiatives in place. In this sense, the best stakeholders in each sector are brought together to create synergy among them.
